Hi, I’m Aimee and DefineHER is personal.
I created DefineHER for women like you — women who feel like their body is no longer responding the way it used to, and who are done wasting time on fitness plans that weren’t built with them in mind.
After years of working with clients 1:1 and seeing the unique challenges that come with peri- and post-menopause, from hormonal shifts to confidence dips to the overwhelming amount of conflicting advice, I knew something better was needed.
DefineHER is that something.
It’s not just a programme. It’s a full-body, full-life reset rooted in science, strength, and the belief that every woman deserves to feel powerful in her skin again.
Every woman deserves a chance to rewrite her story. Let's rewrite yours together.

Aimee Sutorius
Black Fern #145, Black Fern Sevens #19.
Movement has shaped my life.
In my 20s, I proudly wore the black jersey, representing New Zealand in both the national Black Ferns Rugby and Sevens teams. I trained hard, played harder, and lived in a body that felt strong, powerful, and fully capable. That commitment to performance has stayed with me ever since, through my 30s, my 40s, and now, stronger than ever in midlife.

Physical setbacks made me stronger.
I’ve had multiple surgeries from sports injuries, setback after setback. Each one forced me to pause, rebuild, and come back stronger. These weren’t just physical comebacks; they taught me patience, consistency, and how to work with my body, not against it. That’s why I coach the same way.
Behind the scenes, things were more challenging.
The year before I made the Black Ferns, my mother, at the age of 50, took her own life. I was devastated, but on the surface, no one would have known. I distracted myself with rugby, partying, drinking, and throwing myself into anything that would keep me from feeling the pain.

That grief followed me into a five-year relationship that was physically, emotionally, and financially abusive. I believed I somehow deserved it, punishing myself for something that was never my fault. Even when I walked away, life was unstable. I sold my home, drifted between New Zealand and overseas, and carried on with a smile that masked the chaos inside.
My turning point.
When I retired from rugby at 44, I thought I’d finally feel free. Instead, I put on 8kg, stopped doing cardio, and didn’t recognise the person looking back at me in the mirror. For someone who had always been strong and athletic, that hit hard.

That moment became my turning point. I decided to return to what had always anchored me: train like I play. I rebuilt my health, my strength, and my identity. Not for anyone else, but for me.

Now, in my late 40s, I am in near-on the best shape of my life. But the real transformation isn’t just physical. It’s emotional. It’s reclaiming my confidence, letting go of guilt, and refusing to let the hardest chapters define me.
This is the heart of DefineHER.
It’s not just about weight loss or fitness. It’s about showing women that whatever their struggle, be it grief, abuse, self-doubt, or midlife changes, it is never too late to start again and do something for yourself. That’s why I created DefineHER, so a woman, like you, has your chance to rewrite your story to live a confident and vibrant life.
Not another burnout plan.
DefineHER isn’t about extreme diets or thrashing your body with endless HIIT. It’s about working with your hormones, not against them. It’s about building muscle, supporting metabolism, managing stress, and feeling strong — for life.

I’ve spent over three decades in the fitness industry — as a personal trainer, gym manager, and university lecturer. I also hold a Master’s Degree in Exercise Science. My greatest takeaway? Consistency is the real secret — not crash diets or punishment workouts. Real results come from smart, sustainable strategy — especially for women in midlife.
This programme is the blend of everything I’ve learned as an athlete, academic, coach, and through life. And now, it’s your turn.
Women underestimate themselves.
They think they’re too old. Too tired. Too far gone. Too late. But they’re not.
When you give women the right tools, the right plan, and a little belief — they rise.
You don’t have to be an athlete to feel athletic.
You just need a plan that finally fits you — and someone who believes in you until you believe in yourself.
This is OUR story to rewrite, we are in this together.
